HP P2015dn laser printerThe HP LaserJet P2015dn is great for everyday use, at home or in the office. It is very practical and gets the job done for a reasonable price. It prints very quickly and will fulfill even the most avid home user's black and white printing needs. I personally use this printer daily in my office and would definitely recommend it for its functionality.

The only real problem that has occurred with this model is that it can struggle when connected to a network. Unfortunately, heavy office traffic in my area can often be more than this printer is capable of handling. However, for average home or office use it works great.

This printer is one of the higher end models on HP's 2015 line. It prints black at 1200 x 1200 dpi, has a 550 sheet input max, and prints 27 pages per minute. HP always puts out quality products and this printer is no exception. Although I've never used it for anything other than basic office printing, it is also capable of printing on card stock and envelopes. I can see a problem with loading other types of paper in the tray, however, so make sure to read the instruction manual.

As far as the drivers are concerned, fear not! This printer works seamlessly with Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista. Sure the software is average and doesn't come loaded with GUIs or any other toys, but what do you really expect from a printer? If you are going to be putting it on a network, then try giving HP a call or get someone who knows what they are doing.

Included in the box are all your necessary drivers, cables, your standard black toner cartridge, and a one-year warranty from HP; everything needed to get you started. Beware that replacing the toner can be expensive, as with most printers. Always shop around for the best price because they can vary widely. Expect some setup time for this device and be cautious not to overwork it on a network. I mean that sincerely or it will jam or print a document with a several minute delay. I would recommend only hooking it up to one computer if at all possible unless you enjoy seeing all those lights flashing on top!

If you are looking for a business printer then keep shopping. Everyone else look out because here is a great buy! A functional, quick LaserJet is yours if you can afford the $500 price tag.
